ELO SYS 2017

As many as the 23-rd ELO SYS international fair in a row will be held from May 23 to 26, 2017 in the exhibition area in Nitra with the International Engineering Fair at the same time. EXPO CENTER a. s., Trenčín, organiser of the ELO SYS fair, agreed with the NÁRODNÉ VÝSTAVISKO Agrokomplex, State Enterprise, on that.

98 companies from Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland will be presented in the ELO SYS fair this year in a total exhibition area 2,300 m2.

This project of mutual presentation of two independent technical fairs has full support of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic which also took sponsorship of the ELO SYS 2017 fair over this year. Professional associations who will contribute to ensuring a high-quality accompanying program with their professional help like in previous years also expressed their positive standpoints.

As a tradition, the Slovak Association of Electrical Engineers – Chamber of Slovak Electricians will present itself in a panel discussion focused on such topics as General Orientation of Technical Standardisation in the Slovak Republic (Ing. Vladimír VRÁNSKY, president of SEZ-KES), Current Information in the Area of Technical Standardisation and Legislation in Electrical Engineering (doc. Ing. Ivan BOJNA, PhD., STU FEI in Bratislava), Improvement of Thermal Insulation of Objects and Lightning Conductors (Tibor Hanko, SEZ-KES, member of presidium), and ATN® Technical Standards – Technical Solutions for the Future (Ing. František GILIAN, APPO SR, secretary general).  
   
The Faculty of Defence Technology of the Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín is preparing a section of lectures aimed at current topics in the area.

Organisers of the ELO SYS fair, after agreement with organisers of the MSV fair, included into the accompanying program a more widely concepted conference for electrical engineers ELECTRON 2017 focused on installation and maintenance of electric equipment. The following lectures will be held in the conference – Safety of Technical Machine Equipment after Fundamental Modifications in Installation, Control (David Sárka, EZ, STR, TI SR, a.s. Nitra, inspector), Some Peculiarities in Performance of Revisions of Dedicated Machines and in Special Areas (Ing. Miloslav Valena, authorised expert in electrical engineering, vice-chairman of the Union of Authorised Experts of the Czech Republic, member of TNK 22 at the Czech Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing), News in Field Measuring Equipment and also for Engineering Inspectors (Ing. Jiří Ondřík, GHV Trading s.r.o., product manager of testing and measuring equipment), LED Lighting Fittings, Their Selection and the Use of Suitable Control (Ing. Július Száraz, C.E.O. Leader Light s.r.o.), Overvoltage Protection of LED Lighting Fittings (Ing. Jozef Černička Csc., KIWA sk, s.r.o., company executive), and Grounding, Potential Equalizing and Protection Against Contact and Step Voltages (Ing. Jozef Daňo, OBO Bettermann, s.r.o., commercial and technical manager).

This year, young people may also test their knowledge and practical experience during the Slovak finals of a technical competition of young technicians organised by the Slovak Society of Electronics, Bratislava.

Organisers of the fair believe that the professional public will be interested not only in the accompanying program but also in news presented by exhibiting companies. Today, many towns and municipalities are solving a question of energy savings in a form of reduction of light flux of illumination at the time when there is not usual movement in a public area, the most frequently between 22:00 and 4:00, in providing street lighting. This requirement is solved by ELG-D2 series power supplies with a programmable function (Smart timer dimming), which will be presented in the ELO SYS fair by JDC s.r.o. from Sučany. Smart devices are of concern and they can be programmed according to customer´s requirements using conductors and then, in operation, they do not require any service interventions and additional settings, either.
